I love this photo. I caught Alicia as I was taking pictures of our son on the floor in his Easter outfit.
Often Alicia is carrying Liams pacifier in her mouth as she works around the home carrying him. Motherhood is an incredible challenge. I am amazed at Alicias toughness, tenderness and sweet heart for me and our son.
To me, this photo is a poster for the new moms in "baby bootcamp".

At Possum Kingdom Lake there can be seen hundreds and hundreds of Turkey Vultures (Buzzards). On this particular day my brother and law and I saw a diffrent shape and color soaring above us.
It wasn't a Red Tail Hawk or a Buzzard. My guess is that it may be a Falcon or another type of Hawk.
Any ideas? Help.

Riding around the Ranch I found this striking tree in the midst of smaller cedars.
It looks as if it could be from the plains of africa with the large trunk and wandering branches.
This will be where I teach my son to climb trees.

Kid - High Line Trail, Glacier National Park - July 2006

We saw this young mountain kid with its mother along the famed High Line Trail in Glacier National Park.
The creatures are very gentle and to see one so young and up-close added to the day.
Along the 14 mile route we saw ram, mountain goat, deer and a grizzly bear with it's cub.
Obviously the bear didn't make it because I was too terrified, err, well, amazed that I actually saw one close.

Brook Trout - Blackfoot River, MT - July 2006

If you have ever seen the movie 'A River Runs Through It" then you will be familiar with the Blackfoot River. Truly one of the most inspiring places to fish the river is surrounded by rocky gorges and ice-blue glacial run-off.
I caught all species of trout this day - a remarkable feat according to my guide, Drew.
It is tough to get over the beauty and color of trout.

Alicia and I attended the demolition of a building outside downtown Dallas one cold morning.
I thought that seeing the building implode before us was going to be the most interesting part of my day until a blue scooter pulled-up alongside us.
Alas, this is one brave soul. I commend the courage. He must be a superhero incognito.

My respect for mothers across the world, galaxy and universe has risen to near worship status.
Alicia is a phenomenal mother and feeding late at night every two hours is exhausting. But night after night she takes on the responsibility with excitement and joy. In-order for me to stay awake (being a male, my dairy equipment does not function), I like to take photos during the break between feedings or when Liam is sleeping. A fantastic time for shooting.

Perhaps one of the more stunning sites at Glacier is Birdwoman Falls. The uniqueness of a suspended valley with a beautiful 400 foot waterfall catches the imagination.

This is a favorite photo of my wife. It was taken on a Mountain in Arkansas that blossoms Daffadills for about a month in the spring - definitely a beautiful sight.

By the time I took this picture, Alicia was laughing at me because of the crazy angles I was trying to get!

This is the view from our seats at the final four. The pageantry was tremendous and the basketball was fantastic - unfortunately I didn't bring my binoculars for this game. However, I like the view of the picture and the kaliedascope of colors.

If you ever have a chance to see a hunting dog at work make sure to take the opportunity. What amazing animals. In this pic we have Sidney on point for some quail. The dogs are trained to smell quail and work to find them for you. There is no way anyone could hunt quail without dogs.
As soon as the dog gets the scent they stop and literally point their nose in the direction of the birds as their tail stands straight in the air!

This is Matt taking a great shot - he swung around (notice his feet are off balance) to take a shot at a quail flying fast overhead after a covey of birds was busted.

23" Brown Trout - Blackfoot River, Montana - July 2006

Flyfish Montana! Guide Drew and I hammered this huge brown on the Blackfoot ("River Runs Through It" fame) north of Missoula.

Blackfoot is known for it's Bull Trout and Cut Throat. According to Drew, this is trout is the largest Brown he has heard of or seen to be caught on the Blackfoot.

No worries - you can catch him too. We fish catch and release.
